Gerald Situmorang

One of Indonesia's most active guitarists is Gerald Situmorang. He put out records with a variety of bands, including Sketsa and BAG Trio. His solo albums Solitude (2016) and 2017 were released (Dimensions). For both albums, he received numerous honors, including "Album of the Year" at the 40th Jazz Goes to Campus in 2018, "Instrumental Album of the Year" at the Indonesian Choice Awards in 2018, and "Karya Produksi Instrumentalia" at Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) in 2017 and 2018. For the indie band Barasuara, Situmorang plays bass guitar. In 2015, this group issued an album under the name Taifun.
